Opdivo dramatic results update

Hello, just an update on my mums treatment with Opdivo.

Mum is stage IV nsclc with mets.

Tomorrow is mums 4th treatment of Opdivo, she's had nil side effects so far and seems to have a lot more energy, she's been gardening and going to bingo once a week for the last 3 weeks, something she hasn't done in almost 12 months.

We seen mums oncologist 8th March and he's so surprised at her progress so far.

The photos of mums fungating lesions show how dramatic the effects have been to date, I hope the treatment is doing wonders inside as well on her other mets.

Love and hugs to all

Annette

Annette,

Thank you for sharing these exciting pictures! Immunotherapy doesn't work for everyone, but for those for whom it does work, it can pretty miraculous. Very glad that your mom is having such great results. Her increase in energy and well being is very promising for a great scan.

Hi Annette! I too have Stage 4 Lung cancer with mets and am on Opdivo. I have been on Opdivo since the fall of 2015 still with no real side affects. Glad to hear it is working so well for your mom!

What wonderful news. Will be praying for continued shrinking of her tumors and a good report on her scan.

That is great news! I have been receiving Opdivo treatments 8 months now for nsclc. My last scan showed a 90% shrinkage. Prayers and good luck to you and your mom!

Hi MartyFaccenda I'm so glad to hear about your 90% shrinkage. My Dr. Wants to put me on the Opdivo. Knowing that this works with your amume system isn't to good for me. I also have Fibromyalgia for 8 yrs or so. I know what that's all about. PAIN, Do you have a lot of pain with this Opdivo?. Thanks and God Bless.

Hello Sue and thank you. I haven't had much pain with the Opdivo, but it does make me feel very tired and low energy. It's nothing like the previous 4 chemo drugs I was given. If you do receive the drug I hope it works for you. Keep us posted. Prayers and God Bless!

Hi Aussiegal1967, Thank you very much. After 9 months of Opdivo, the side effects I've noticed most are fatigue, low energy and sleeping a lot more than usual. I haven't had any severe side effects like the traditional chemo treatments caused. My Dr. Is very pleased with the results so far. Hopefully it continues to work for me!

I've had many scans. Been fighting this for over 2 years now. My first scan after starting Opdivo was after 6 treatments. I now get a scan after every 6 treatments. I really hope this works for your mom! Keep in touch Aussiegal1967. Hehe, I was born 1966.
