The Denver- Free to Breathe 5K Run/Walk is in 2 days! This will be my 2nd year participating in this amazing event and I am thrilled to say that we will have more than 30 people participating on our team 'The Possibilities' again this year! Last year at this time, I was newly diagnosed with stage 4 NSCLC. This year, I was honored to have been asked to share my story in a live interview plugging the walk with our local NBC TV affiliate plus a couple of radio interviews. If you can and you feel compelled, getting involved with lung cancer awareness, fundraising and advocacy organizations can be extraordinary. There is still so much the public does not know or understand about our disease. Speaking out, fundraising and participating in clinical trials all increase the probability that someone will be helped by what we do today in the future. Again this year we made team hats and every year we will add more to the collection...the 'Possibilities' are endless :) With love and gratitude of life. ~Peg

What an amazing participation Peg...God's blessing be with you. Donation please keep coming!!☀

Terrific, Peg! I had a similar experience at my local Free to Breathe walk last year. I do find that during the times surrounding my advocacy efforts, interviews, speaking engagements, etc, I am so immersed in knowing and speaking about the larger data (-longevity and finding discrepancies associated with lung cancer), it takes its toll on my own positive attitude that I am a statistic of only one (me). Thank you for speaking on behalf of all of us; take care of yourself, too.
