Finished radiation treatments.... :)

Finished 33 rounds of radiation on Tuesday. Had 7th round of Carbo/Taxol, I now have a 3 week break, then 2 high doses.... having terrible anxiety for some reason, but I am working through it. Will lose my hair they say... that's ok as long as all of this works. Had 1/3rd of Right lobe removed in Sept. then it showed up in one lymph node near my trachea... that is what we are working on now. Prayers for all of us. God Bless.

God bless you, too! And thank you for the update.

I am so sorry to hear about the anxiety (although it is understandable and even predictable). I hope you have told your medical team about it so they can help you - it is absolutely amazing how much humans endure. Hugs and hope to you.

You are going through a lot, and your anxiety is very normal and understandable. I hope you have a support network to help you with this - sometimes a person who is not friend or family, like a minister or a counselor, can be more helpful because you can let it all out safely, without concern that you are making those who love you worry even more.

Sending up prayers for you. My husband had the exact treatment other than the surgery. He was inoperable. Praying for your healing.

You have been through an awful lot. I can't imagine not being anxious. As suggested above, let your treatment team know. They might give you some medication to help take the edge off those feelings. Also talking it out with a trusted friend, clergy, or therapist can help. Don't be afraid to vent on this site. We can take it and many of us have been there.

Thoughts and prayers.

I'm sorry to say that anxiety is almost inevitable in the cancer process. I firmly believe that it is a necessary tool in helping you to cope with all that you're going through. First the diagnosis, then the treatments are overwhelming and the not knowing the outcome.

My faith in God is what carried me through the treatments, side effects, depression and healing. I knew that He was able to handle whatever I was going through. I pray you know Christ as your personal Savior because of you do, He will give you peace that passes understanding.

May God bless you and give you His strength to carry on.
