I understand your feelings of desperation and hope that there is some relief in store for you and your husband. I'm not at all sure what you are looking for from essential oils, but I've never heard any legitimate suggestion that they can work as a cancer treatment. If you prowl the Internet long enough, you'll find a huge list of things that "cure" or "fight" cancer based on nothing more than a marketer's idea of how to profit off of people's fear. Perhaps there is something that can help with mood or even sleep or digestion, but there are no oils that will safely kill cancer cells in the human body. Many essential oil enthusiasts will tout their "amazing" qualities -- but in reality, most essential oils cannot even be absorbed through the skin, and certainly not in medicinal quantities. Some essential oils can be eaten, I imagine, but even so, there isn't anything that can be eaten safely in high enough concentration to act as an effective cancer treatment.

That said, I don't want to come across as a downer here. There are quite a lot of things that a patient can do to improve his or her condition outside of the medical treatment itself. The fact that these things are not strictly curative should not stop you from pursuing them if they help make the process of treatment more effective. If a treatment is being sold to you as curative, and your oncologist has never heard of it, especially if there are claims that it is being suppressed or ignored by the mainstream medical community, then chances are it is a total fraud. When a treatment declares itself to be "alternative," that is code for "unproven and/or abandoned by science." But there are probably hundreds of things, ranging from drugs to exercise to meditation to aromatherapy that *might* make someone feel better, or improve overall wellbeing and health, even if just by promoting better sleep and nutrition. Ultimately, you have to find what works for you, without falling prey to the hucksters out there.

Thanks for the response. I hope something helps just paid 700.00 for the oils. I ordered them because my daughter can't imagine losing her dad and she is reaching as well as I am. She knows someone personally that told her these specific oils cured her cancer I have my doubts but thought it certainly can't hurt. Thanks

Whether the oils help or not, I hope that the effect of getting them makes everyone feel better. Sometimes it is hard to feel empowered and proactive, and we need to do something -- anything -- to regain a sense of security or positivity. Sorry that you had to spend $700, which seems excessively high for oils (I know a few people who make essential oils, but I have no idea what you are getting), but I do hope that they offer some sort of therapeutic value to all of you. Do be sure to consult a doctor about them, though, just in case there is any concern with active botanicals. Best of luck.
