Does anyone put sun block on instead of their usual cream (diprobase) when wearing a sleeve. does anyone put insect repellent on under their sleeve not sure if you can get bites while wearing it

What do you use for moisturising your arm on holiday.
Yes, you can get bitten through the sleeves! A spray on bug repellent works quite well, but should be applied body-wide, on exposed skin and over clothes, several times a day, and especially if you are dining 'al fresco' in the evenings - be generous on lower legs, ankles and feet, as bugs are drawn to feet!!! Have a mossie repellent burning in the bedroom overnight - or one of the plug in devices which are available nearly everywhere in sunny climes. Apply sun block everywhere, and to the affected limb, but allow it to dry before donning the garment.
best to get oil-free sunblock - won't affect the garment material so much
& if you're ok with the smell, get some citronella essential oil & mix a few drops in with whatever lotions & potions you're wearing - helps encourage them to go & find someone else's skin to puncture!
