I used kinesiology tape on my baby daughter from 7 months old as she has milroys disease from birth and was too small for compression. It helped a lot until recently...it didn't reduce her swelling but did keep her feet and legs very soft and supple. It worked best when fanned out as opposed to being putting on in blocks. I think the only reason it's not helping as much now is just that she's getting so big but thankfully she's getting measured for her 1st compression garments in jan. hope this helps

I have had compression stockings for 20yrs. Was told by one GP to take them off and not to wear them my feet were still swelling up and the compression stockings were cutting into my feet on the ankle joint which was cutting off my circulation.

Apartly I was not resting with my legs elevated high enough for the fluid to drain back around the body.

At times I have my legs resting against the wall or over the edge of the sofa.

I have been prescribed and use Cira-Aid Velcro Bandages which I can do myself which also helps a great deal but they are bulky and a passion killer.

I also wear NHS Orthotic Boots great for the Winter and Rain but useless for the Summer as too hot and cumbersome so trying to find some suitable sandals which the NHS can not supply as I need so much padding on the base of my feet and sandals will not give me the Ankle Support I need. So its a nightmare finding the right footware.

I get terribly depressed because I love fashion but hey this is part of my life which I now have to live with the best I can.
