Jeans and trousers that fit
HI have you tried loose fit Lee or Levis? My boyfriend is a bodybuilder and these work with his legs. When we go to Vegas he goes to Boot barn they've a large selection of jeans in different shapes. I wear boot cut jeans and find this style works over my lymphodema leg.
I have had lymphedema in my left leg, since I was a 42year old high school teacher. I immediately threw out all skirts from my wardrobe (one very large leg can be a distraction for a teacher) and began to make various types of simple trousers. They had one thing in common and that was the width of the legs. Even if you cannot sew the procedure is straight forward. Use a pair of old elastic waisted long pants that fit you. Undo the old pants and iron the pieces. You need one front piece and one back piece. Take care to label these and so this is your pattern. Buy about 2.5metres or twice as long as you need from waist to floor. When you cut out the pattern allow the extra leg room you need. Mine are not a fashion statement but look fine when worn with a nice long blouse. Nowadays I always add a pocket for my phone and another for my car keys. I have been doing this for 35years. Sometimes I pick up a pair as the fashions change but it is cheap enough to make them.... good luck ... V
Hi there. You can order them through damart.co.uk - my mother got me the trousers from them, although she didn't order online, she phoned them. Give them a try.
