Secondary Lymphodema since accident and sepsis in 2014
.So I recently signed up to my first 5k charity run this year ! June 10th .No probs with lymphie leg yet and have managed two runs a week but hope to get this 5k run under my belt so that I can prove to myself and others this condition won’t stop us doing anything we really want to .... 😄
Since my accident I haven’t been very mobile at all . Hope to keep you updated on my progress and hope I can inspire others to challenge their condition too .
Looking for others with inspiring stories to keep me motivated to run ? Cos it’s hard 🏃♀️

Several of my lymphie clients do Park Runs at weekends - they take their dogs, and one girl takes her 8 month old daughter - she’s recently started jogging, having stuck to walking the routes while she was pregnant. I have nothing but admiration for you and them - Respect! 👊
Do your legs swell while you are running/walking? Whenever I walk fast or run my leg swells within 5 minutes and then hardens and takes about 10 days to reduce.
Hiya . I haven’t noticed any significant swelling . I imagine that might happen when I finish the 5 k though .probably because I am still walking mixed with running . I have to build up to the run gradually 😄
I’m also doing the couch to 5k with my lymphoma. I’m doing it and a calorie controlled diet as I’m really struggling to lose weight. I’ve never jogged before and I’m loving it.
Awww thank you . I will put up the Macmillan sponsorship page soon .
