just have questions

I have lower extremity primary lymphedema and have been dealing with it since I was 9yrs of age. I thank God that it was manageable and I have never experienced pain until now and even now I'm wondering if my pain is even related to the lymphedema. Can someone please explain the pain to me this is really scaring me.

Please consult your GP or MD (you may be outside UK). If you have had the condition for a long time, but there has been a recent unexplained symptom, then it should be assessed as soon as possible. No one here is qualified to diagnose - so, like I said, see your GP, MD or call your lymphoedema clinic/practitioner for advice.

I think the pain manifest itself differently with people. For example, my calves ache something awful sometimes. Other times the swelling seems to press on nerves causing nerve pain.

Best to see a doctor but wearing your compression garments is the best thing to do. I was born with primary and have been going for decades. In my experience the heat and humidity are the worst and cause a lots of swelling and discomfort.

Hi JJasking, if your pain is increasing and the doctor isn't getting back to you, can you call a medical hotline for advice? I hope that you get answers soon.
