Antibiotics! (In the event of a bite or trauma to your limbs that may incur infection)

Tea tree oil, to treat any bites/scratches immediately

Moisturizer is something im never without ,it stops the legs from drying out and keeps skin soft and supple, plus additional compression garments,Fucibet cream for bites and open wounds should any occur, and of course anti biotics to be on the safe side.

Hi, thanks for your reply, I moisturise every night after shower and where my full leg compression stockings during the day it's just an emergency first aid kit just to be on the safe side but hopefully I won't need it.

I dont think you will need one ,but if you feel safer carrying one ,anti biotics and anti biotic cream would be my first choice.I have done much travelling and never carried one,as there are always pharmacy's near by in case of emergency and I have lymphedema in both legs and feet.

Yeh you could be right, there is plenty of pharmacy's, I have the same as you but waiting for my app coming through as I think I have it else where as well, but fingers crossed I haven't.

I also have bilateral LE in my toes/feet/legs. As Lynora said keep antibiotics on you. Always have these at home and when traveling, as well as tea tree oil or other topical antiseptic cream. Don't rely on a pharmacy in a foreign country for emergency antibiotics in the event of a Cellulitis outbreak. I know first hand how important it is to have it to hand in a travel bag as Cellulitis can appear even though there is no obvious evidence of an insect bite or scratch. Also carry insect repellent spray in summer (spray your clothes not directly on legs) , and travel with soap that doesn't dry your skin and good quality non-fragranced cream to apply daily to your feet and legs. Hotel soap and cream is terribly drying! It's also not a bad idea to have a back-up garment in your kit especially when traveling x
