Most docs in USA are ignorant re primary or other lymphedema besides that related to cancer. Not belittling cancer originating problem, but some of us have lived with this forever. Doctors always ask me about hysterectomybor breast cancer after I say I have primary. Tiresome doggerol.

Get the impression from this site that the same problem exists in quite a lot of parts of the UK, with a number of clinics only seeing post-cancer treatment lymphoedema

You need to check with som European posters on this site to find out where she can get help. Most doctors are ignorant about lymphedema. Same goes for borderline hypothyroid problems.
