Just been on the phone with my gp and she had agreed to refear me to see a lymphadema nurse hopeful i will get some were now.. I know waiting list are long .. But its a start

That's good news for you. I am going to have to go back to my GP to ask for the same. Our local clinic doesn't take primary lymphoedema patients but I have found out that there is one that is very good about 30 miles away that takes patients out of their catchment area. It's worth a try. Failing that I may have to get a private appointment.

Good luck to all of you who are waiting for first appointments. I am fortunate in my local authority (Fife) but it is not an equal picture across the country. Hopefully Scotland will however soon get a better service as we now have a Lymphoedema Strategy.

This will turn your life around for the better! You will control your swellings and symptoms! They will measure you and educate you and kit you out in gorgeous compression wear! I choose to wear thigh high closed toe hosiery and honestly I was in a poor state before I met my lymphoedema nurse in Workington/Whitehaven Cumbria. Hope you get good results!
