Hi there can anyone please help me, I have severe pain in my affected leg, it starts at the groin and travels down to my knee, I am up for the best part of the night and I am trying to continue with my full time job, but it is getting increasingly more difficult.

Chronic Pain
Severe pain is not good. Please see your GP for a definitive diagnosis.
Hi I agree with lynora you should see your doctor to make sure there is nothing else going on. I take pregabalin as I have nerve pain in my foot from the swelling. It works for me but takes a while to build up in your system, I took tramadol in the interim
A pain in the groin could be a sign of cellulitis. I had it in my groin and felt poorly before any redness appeared.
So yes - Check with Doc.
Pain relief is something the NHS is not good at. My lympho is not too painful, thank goodness, but I am finding it impossible to get effective relief from my back and hip arthritis.
I would like to thank you all for your advice, I went to see my GP first thing this morning, and I got some anti-biotics, but the doctor really was not of any help really. I now have my first appointment to go see the Lympho nurse next month. And I am hoping to be able to have some real help.
I really am grateful though to you guys, I thought that it was that this is how the rest of my life was going to be.
