Is anyone aware of liposuction being done in the United States? I have primary lymphedema of my left leg.
Check out the NLN document - lymphnet.org/pdfDocs/nlntre... - specifically "Surgical treatment of LE" - I have read (somewhere - can't find it currently!) that some surgeons in the USA have been taught the technique. The NLN may know which hospitals have been involved in the training programme.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for making this link available. I have been searching for years to read such a comprehensive article and information on Lymphoedema. One thing I would seriously like to learn is the Self lymphatic Drainage technique that is mentioned. I live far away from any specialists or treatment and would be absolutely unable to afford to pay. Can anyone help me out please. Many thanks Jackie
I live in London,UK & have Lipoedema (obviously in both legs evenly) & have had two very successful VASER liposuction operations. The surgeon was Dr Wolfe based at The Harley Street Clinic. VASER is non-invasive liposuction and coupled with lots of MLD (manual lymphatic drainage massage), 3 x weekly one month before & 3 x weekly for 3 months afterwards, the results were brilliant. We'll worth the money.
Can I ask if it was expensive, and what were your size difference in legs before and after? Would be nice to see results

Where in the USA if near California check out the University of California, Los Angeles. There is a Plastic Surgeon their that is one of the best in the country his name is Jay W. Granzow.
Also look up lymphedema surgery in general. It will give you information about doctors around the country.
