Hi Mzybee21

You should ask to be referred to a lymphoedema clinic/specialist. They can measure your limbs and perhaps get you into some stronger compression. I've been wearing class 3 on my leg and it helped a great deal with drainage. Good luck :)

GP's can't 'drain' lymph, but might be able to refer you to a specialist therapist who can show you how to manage the condition but using 'simple lymph drainage massage'. They should also be able to advise about the correct compression stockings and other aids that can be used to help with the condition.

sounds like you've fallen through the net, mazybee

as the others have said, it sounds like you need an assessment / a reassessment by a lymphoedema specialist

if your gp doesn't know where they are, phone the lsn helpline on 020 7351 4480 & they'll help you find out, then it's back to the gp with the info

good luck

Here's a link to the MLD UK website. It will take you straight to the directory of lymphoedema therapists.

Just enter your post code to find a therapist near you. They should be able to advise you.

Good luck,
