Asthma trigger: what do you find that... - Living with Asthma
Asthma trigger
Stress and anxiety can be triggers for me, along with allergies. I also just learned that reflux can cause asthma symptoms.Quick story: my daughter, asthmatic, was having trouble breathing, especially with remote learning stress. Breathing test showed her lungs were good, but her vocal chords were tight. This is what she was feeling - vocal chord disfunction. Inhalers help a little bit not enough. The key was to relax and let the anxiety go. Good luck!
Interesting I have Acid Reflux and Esophagus Spasms .Thank you for you response .Sending .love ,peace and joy to you .
Yes, I find that happens to me, too.
For sure. I think it intensifies any illness and maybe it can be a leading factor for some people. I have allergies. I live in Florida where there is no relief from them ever. I'm allergic to most trees and grasses and also indoor dust mites. Trying to find the right meds. I take Singulair (Montelukast) and Flonase and Claritan. Was on Symbicort as a controller but my allergist felt it was not working enough as my lung function was still below normal. I just switched to Trelegy. I think its better but I still cough a lot. Not sure my lung function is really improved yet or not. They want me to try Xolair but I'm reluctant yet to try a biologic.
I have so many factors, I have acid reflux and also sleep apnea which are all being treated. I never had allergies like this until I moved to Florida full time. Unfortunately moving is not an option as my work is here.
Stressing over feeling unwell is a double edged sword right? Plus with Covid and everything we are all under more stress.
I am so very tired of coughing and coughing. I am getting to the point where I do wonder if I could qualify for disability and just retire and move to Arizona or Nevada. Hang in there. I totally get it.
i sincerely pray for you to find the right treatment for a continual breath of fresh air ,have a great day
