I wanted to get feedback from the injection med dupixent. Has anyone gotten good results. My pulumonary doctor wants me to give it a try. It seems there has been good results in helping control asthma. I am not sure if my insurance is going to cover it and if it will be afforable to me😑 My cardiologist changed my blood pressure meds to see if maybe it was causing more issues, my GP changed my maintenance inhaler to Trelegy . Now they want me to try the dupixent. Any feedback would be appreciated 😊

I don’t take Dupixent, I do however do monthly injection of Nucala, regarding the insurance...when they first put in script it wasn’t approved. Because it was put in as “pharmacy” , it was then put thru as “major medical”, I was approved 12 months with not even a copay.
Awesome! I spoke to my doctor and they are trying to get it approved. Has your injectable med helped you have better control of your asthma? I hope it has. Thank you for the information 😊
Originally it was hard for me to say as I also have COPD & emphysema. The symptoms overlap. I have noticed fewer flare ups, and my recovery from an actual attack is much much faster...so I guess the answer is yes, as that was Dr’s ultimate reason & goal. I will be doing my 6th self injection this week. I also have not had to do prednisone w/antibiotic (typical treatment w/flare up) since the 1st month. Good Luck, hope it helps 😊
