What to do

My asthma been acting up since I was admitted in hospital. I've been doing my breathing treatments every 6 hours. Since than I visited the er 3 times since been out of hospital. The cold I got is triggering my asthma really bad and now doctor got me doing my treatments every 4 hours and taking 40mg of prednisones. I start having bad bronchospasm. My body is so tired I try keep going not giving up I keep everybody lifted but when it comes me it's better said than done. What more could I do to get better when im following all doctor orders maybe im missing something but idk. I also been drinking ginger tea help with cold

For some reason, the cold air triggered my asthma more yesterday into this morning. Usually, my rescue inhaler opens my lungs, but not so much this time. I’ve found that coffee does help and read that lavender is beneficial, as well. Do, I’m currently finishing a hot cup with my diffuser going. My body is also super tired, so I’m very much looking forward to sleep. Good luck!

Thanks and yes cold is triggering it but I don't drink coffee but it's worth a shot right now because my body is tired and I feel like nothing is really helping. Since I got my new breathing machine doctor got me doing it every 4 hours now instead of 6 hours so I won't keep having bronchospasm. The treatments really do help me out alot it's just this annoying cough I got

Yes, give it a try and see what happens. I was wheezing since maybe 3 or 4am early Saturday morning. And I had no more albuterol meds. The later it got last night, the more I just wanted to sleep, and course it kicked up a bit. But I had a coffee, after getting very comfortable, and was able to relax more. You’re welcome!!

Thank you and ok.bout 2 weeks ago I been admitted in hospital due to my asthma but before i went in I had a little cold it's gotten worse my doctors main concern was my asthma and my heart rate and blood pressure. I was in icu from thst Saturday to Monday went to a regular room until Thurs I gotten out my asthma still been being worse since than I visited er.at least 3 times.but they did ct scan make sure I didn't develop no type of blood clots or infections they did lots of testing and its scary right now im doing breathing treatments every 4 hours now and my asthma getting better its just coughing they gave me tessalon take and zpack but nothing really helping

Breathing treatments make me sleepy, so it is possible it is doing that to you. When a cold or bronchitis causes asthma flares it isn’t so much what you can do to get over it as it is allowing time for cold to run it’s course and during that time keep you breathing. Rest easy and hopefully you will be feeling better in a couple of weeks.

Oh wow, that’s intense. I was hospitalized last year. It’s definitely no fun. I’m glad it’s starting to improve for you. There’s a medication that I’ve heard of for asthma. I want to say it’s something with a B. Not exactly sure if it’s more for the coughing or wheezing, but it could be worth mentioning to your doc

Glad you are feeling well. And the medicine that you talking about is it called bromide its a cough medicine if so I have that it's not helping. But i do find when im home I let cold air runs and helps me breath better
