Go back to you family doctor/consultant and ask about trying different asthma drugs (preventer/LABAs/tablets etc). From the sounds of it you’ve been uncontrolled for a while and Florence has just really done a number on your lungs!
Ps I hope you didn’t get too wet (from the standpoint of water) 😅
Hi Sharaybia and thanks for sharing.
Please get back to your doctor and talk about this with them. Discuss your asthma triggers and if there are medications that might work better for you and your asthma.
Thank you i aM. I had a pulmonary specialist and he wasnt really doinng nothin at all he would barely see me kept saying go to emergency room if im havin a problem. So i switch. I had asthma since i was 5 but it aint started til after 2012 when i was on ventalior. i change specialist he did all his tests instead of pullin my paperwork from my old doctor. I had appointment but we had evaluate when hurricane florence came it got worse yesterday made my 10th time goin to er. I see my specialist friday but as of now he got me where he dont wont me to move outta bed until friday and im doing everythin right so i can get better but im just so tired i been fightin with my asthma for a month now im on high dose of steriods thats causin me to blow up and swell
Ask your primary doctor to refer you to a pulmonary specialist right away. Trust me, I saw different doctors throughout the 60 years I've had asthma. Just about 9 or 10 years ago I began seeing a pulmonary doctor and things have drastically turned around for me. No more ER visits or shelling out money to doctors that didn't know how to get my asthma in check. Much happier now than I've ever been. Good luck as you deserve to feel better. I know not all pulmonary doctors are good at their trade, but THEY are out there; I found a great one in Austin, TX! Google or Bing search for the best of them that serve your area/city. Ask around on social media if you have to and don't dare give up!
