My tailbone hurts

I am new here...

I am in a wheelchair because of my CP. My tailbone has been hurting on and off for about a year I put it down to the fact I sit all day want can I do to prevent this. should I see a doctor

Yes you probably should only they can make a diagnosis. Hope it gets sorted and your in less pain soon

See your GP. You may need a wheelchair seating review. There are different type of seating that the NHS can provide. you may need a pressure relief cushion gel or memory foam. Hope this helps.

go to doctors get xray new chair may be needed pain killers 3 times day for 3day then stop and then phone doctor again. hope this helps i have cp too.

A doctor might be able to help but have you tried a cushion that has sort of a semi circle cut out at the back where your tail bone is, I had one for driving and it worked, I will have a look online and see if I can find one and send you the link. Also have you tried an air cushion that might help too.
