I am 38 years old and have Cp I walk using crutches and use wheelchair. I had to give up work as the pain from my Cp and poor mobility is too much. I found this hard mentally so I decided to join my local weight watchers group I can't excerise so by food alone I have lost 18lb so far So happy

Well done that's amazing! I've got mild CP And I'm so trying to lose weight but it's really difficult because of the scoliosis my stomach comes out so much and it annoys me. I've lost 8lb so far. So frustrating but you Have done so well

Have you tried warm water therapy, or hot yoga with the assistance of a PT or instructor? Regular pool exercise tailored to your body, can bring pain relief, decrease stress (which increases the cortisol hormone, causing us to gain weight and slow metabolism), build, strengthen, and stretch muscles (increased muscle mass, increases metabolism), overall making weight loss easier.

Look at any medications you're on, they can have weight gain as a negative side effect.

Blessings to you on your journey!
