I’ve been on Nintedanib for some time now but may be offered a switch to Pirfenidone when I next speak to my consultant. Has anyone had any side effects from Pirfenidone & how bad are they?

Most common side effects may be gi related but there are other less common side effects that have been reported
Hi Bee61 I was supposed to. Go to south Manchester specialised clinic for ninetab but ended up in North Manchester cos of my O2 levels . So when I get out I'm get out I'm going to remake the appt

My specialist has recommended me for Nintedanib so I did some tests at Wythenshawe hospital & more recently a lung function test so now I have to wait until the relevant people have had a meeting to decide whether I can have it or not
Its one of those medications that a doctor even a specialist cant prescribe because apparently its a very new & according to my specialist experimental medication
