I've got a question I need to ask. My lfts are ok but I have compensated cirrhosis, just wondered why this would be? I am still having a lot of capsule pain due to my fatty and enlarged liver. I've got a telephone consultation with my consultant on Thursday and want everything ready to ask him? Thank you. Take care and stay safe everyone. Lots of love Lynne xxxx ❤️💜
Hi Lynne. I hope you got some answers? My lfts are ok and I have decompensated cirrhosis 🤔. Good luck on Thursday, let us know how you get on. Hope your day is good. Is it raining 🌦️xx
I’ll be honest I’m very similar to you with and enlarged and fatty liver that is causing me the same pain. I do not have an official diagnosis of cirrhosis yet but unfortunately I truly feel that’s what I’m going to get soon. All my blood is good besides Elevated bilirubin for the last 5 yrs that no dr had ever warned me about even though I always asked directly about liver problems.
Can I ask how you got the diagnosis of compensated cirrhosis? My drs keep telling me they don’t want to look further because my blood is good but the enlarged liver they tell me I have shouldn’t be causing me the pain that I’m in.
I'm so sorry you are in pain. Tell your drs that because your liver is so enlarged it stretches the capsule around it which then causes the pain as the capsule has many nerves in it. I had a fibroscan which showed compensated cirrhosis. Maybe you could ask about having a fibroscan.
I did have a fibrosure blood test to check for inflammation and fibrosis which came back normal all being a 0 score. I should be relieved by that as my drs say but I realize I have a history of symptoms and a history of great blood work so I can’t say I really trust the bloodwork. After begging and begging I finally have an appointment set for October for a fibroscan. I’m honestly terrified as I’m positive it will show cirrhosis. I’m not too great with fibroscan results but can I ask if they went over it with you while you were there or did you have to wait to see your dr? Also could I ask what your score was or how they came to the decision that it was compensated and what does compensated really mean?
I’m sorry to ask so much, I’ve been dealing with drs for 6 months now and everyday I get worse and they just don’t believe it’s my liver. I’m just so worried and stressed as I’m sure you understand.
