Ast/alt ratio

Got a question about Ast alt ratio. There is a lot of confusion on the internet saying that if ast/alt ratio is over 1-2 even with normal ast and alt values you have liver damage. My question is does ratio even matter if Ast and alt are normal?

Talk to your doctor and let the ratio nonsense lie. The doctors are the best ones to talk to. Googling will only cause you undue anxiety.

I have wondered that as well. Mine is normal but 1.4 ratio. Did you ever get an answer?
