Increasing ALT: I have increase ALT blood levels... - Liver4Life
Increasing ALT
An isolated ALT rise could just be a blip. ALT can rise and fall throughout the day, it can rise when you are fighting an infection or even after exercise.
At 52 u/l it's only very minimally elevated, doctors don't get too concerned unless it is elevated three to four times upper limit of normal (into the 100's or even 1000's).
I wouldn't have thought there is much concern, doctor will probably re-run bloods in a month or two to see if there is a pattern developing or whether it was just a blip.

ALT (Alanine aminotransferase) is an enzyme found in liver cells (and in muscle, kidney etc.), numerous things can cause this to leak into the blood stream causing elevations in your blood tests. This can be simple things like exercise, fighting infection or as a response to liver inflammation and/or liver damage.
But and isolated ALT rise which is barely out of range wouldn't be a cause for panic, 3 to 4 times upper limit of normal would definitely ring alarm bells and give cause for further tests.
Are any of your other liver enzymes elevated? Do you have obvious cause to be concerned about your liver? Do you drink? Are you over weight? Have diabetes? Take regular prescription or over the counter medications?
A slightly elevated ALT isn't a massive cause for concern but with a pattern of elevation then perhaps further investigation might be warranted.

I got high blood pressure and do little exercise walking and taking medications for my bladder, IBS, hormones and high blood pressure. I am seeing liver specialist for my gallbladder and hepatitis b
If you have all those issues especially Hepatitis B then it probably does reflect some degree of liver inflammation. If you are already under a Hepatologist/liver specialist then they are best placed to explain what is going on with your liver and what these results reflect.

Hep B viral load low and rest of my liver blood fine and except ALT highly raised
Your ALT isn't highly raised, it's moderately raised. Highly raised is 3-4 times over or higher still (100's and 1000's are normal in a seriously inflamed liver). You obviously have other health concerns going on, medication can raise ALT, being a little overweight or having a fatty liver can raise ALT.
I am 5ft 2in and my weight 11 stones
Are there any treatment and if liver in inflamed
This is really something you need to discuss with your doctor, weight loss, keeping fit, eating a healthy balanced diet, no alcohol and generally keeping well are the best treatments. It doesn't sound like massive liver inflammation when it is only a moderate raised result.
I having ultrasound scan on my Gallbladder March 15th and then see Liver Specialist April 14th and if I has any questions and then speak to hear
hopefully she can do more test blood
I have my liver blood test last week and my ALT is normal 37 u/l and February 2023 52 u/l big drop
