So I've been diagnosed with endometriosis, had a laparoscopy to remove most of it, I'm now on painkillers (Ibuprofen and Paracetamol) to manage the pain and headaches around my period - it could be much worse so I'm grateful I can manage the pain this way. However a few years back I had an abnormal liver blood test that lead to an ultrasound, where they said I had an enlarged liver and suggested not to take painkillers unless really necessary; well now I'm worried as I'll need to take painkillers for the foreseeable future for one week each month.
What should I do? Should I discuss this with the doctor? They didn't seem concerned about any liver problems that could develop and weren't bothered about repeat blood tests. I'm worried as there are liver problems in my family combined with thyroid problems, heart disease, diabetes etc, and I know they are all closely linked.
What do I do? Help!!
