I’ve taken LDN for the past 2 evenings & woke with throbbing headache, severe tiredness & depression. I had tiredness before as I have Hashimoto’s, UC & Endometriosis but nothing like this. I wonder if you can advise whether these are normal side effects of taking LDN and whether they’ll go away? Thanks Jo

Both of those are not common side effects, but they do happen. Some patients opt to "power" through, others opt to do down a level is dosage.
That being said, taking/treating LDN with Hashimoto's can be tricky. The Thyroid can react quickly, causing changes in the need for meds. We usually recommend starting lower with thyroid issues and going up in small increments - allowing plenty of time for your body to adjust to each change.
Hi Michelle, thank you for your reply. I didn’t take any more of it as I had work the next day & feel back to normal again but my sleeping is now disrupted. I must be super sensitive to LDN and will try again but with a much lower dose. In fact, I have side effects with most medication even the Levothyroxine I’m on so I guess it is no surprise. Jo x
Has it made you feel worse or better than you were before? If you don't feel any benefit from it I would come off it. I may start it again in a couple of months at a very low dose but I haven't made my mind up yet.
The burning/cinnamon mouth sensations are not a common side effect of LDN.
No knowledge about injections, I don't think that's an option at this time. It sounds like you have something system wide going on, shingles is a sign of stress - either situational or systemic (body stress).
LDN helps your body to modulate it's immune system, from what you wrote it sounds like yours is in overdrive. What do you take LDN for? Do you have Thyroid issues or Lyme? ME/CFS? Some symptoms overlap on all of these, but make your system much more sensitive to the effects of LDN.
