I judt finished my first week of taking 1.5mg LDN for Fibromyalgia and it is majorly helping my fibro BUT it is giving me these horrid headaches/migraines daily. Will these subside? I take my LDN in the morning about 830-9 am after taking it at night for the first 2 nights and literally being awake alllll night long. I take trazodone at night so maybe the ldn blocked it I have no idea but I won't take it at night anymore. The headaches seem to start in the afternoon and get worse into the evening. I'm also having some pretty gnarly gi pain among other issues but the gi stuff is nothing to the head pain. The headache pain radiates from the left temporal bone down to my upper jaw and across the top to the right side. Please help me nothing has ever helped my fibro before but I can not take these headaches much longer.

Low Dose Naltrexone Causing Massive Headaches?
I have read of headaches, but not as severe as you're stating. Personally, I would contact both your prescribing doctor and the pharmacist.
For future reference, here's a link to the Patient Information Sheet, side effects are on page 3: ldnresearchtrust.org/sites/...

Thanks for the reply. We like to say LDN is a journey, not a race - I'm happy to read this time you're seeing some benefits.
Dissolving tablets or capsules
As a charity we have to recommend best practice which is to have your LDN professionally compounded. Making it yourself could lead to bacteria growing in the mixture which could make a person ill.
For this reason, we usually recommend going to your pharmacist and seeing if they can talk with your doctor to compound a lower dose.

I used to get headaches but they subsided after a few months. I accepted the headaches as I was feeling better on LDN but had side effects. 2 years on and I have no side effects but I have learned to dose correctly for me. I take 3mg every 2nd night. It might take time to find your correct dose.
