Fibro fatigue

Hi, I'm new here. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia (lucky me eh). I'm currently taking Simponi once a month for my RA. Mostly my RA symptoms are controlled it's the chronic fatigue / insomnia that I struggle with from the Fibro that makes life really hard. I've just been told about LDN for fatigue my question is can I take it at the same time as the Simponi? Is there anything better for the fatigue?

Thanks in advance

We always suggest you check with your own compounding pharmacist however, our advisers tell us that it is only opiate based medications and anti rejection drugs that are contraindicated so you should be able to take LDN with Simponi.

I take LDN for Fibromyalgia (3 years), my decade long battle with insomnia was the first benefit experienced. It can go the other way, though. Fatigue is about 40% better, unless the barometric pressure shifts, then it kicks in almost like before. Other Fibromyalgia patients feel like it's in remission within a year.

Definitely worth trying, and please remember it can take 4-6 months to see some benefits.

I take ldn too. However I see it as the icing on the cake.

A good read is drmyhill.co.uk.

On the home page in the top right hand corner type in orchestra. It’s an amazing article on how to achieve good health.

Both Dr Mercola and Isabella Wentz too recommend a gluten free and dairy free diet when taking ldn.

Then it’s ensure absorbtion is good ( a comprehensive stool analysis is v helpful)

Then ensure vitamins are optimal

Also fix thyroid and adrenals issues.( in the article it goes through checking your temps).

It’s a shame the Doctor I gave you a link for is the top CFs/Me ( the second is if you have pain) and a top endo too. She was doing a mitachondrial function test for non patients until last month. CFS patients need extra vitamins. Also if you were ever to claim benefits it is recognised by the agencies.

Good luck
