Hunger observation

I've been on a diet since having a heart attack in April and have lost over 40lbs to date. I switched my diet to a liberal keto diet at the start of September and lost 9lbs in that month.

What was interesting is that I don't recall being hungry at any point in September, it was quite remarkable.

Now, last night we had some roasted veg (mainly butternut squash) and some pork patties. I realise squash isn't particularly keto friendly but it is very nutritious.

Anyway, this morning I'm famished and my stomach is growling constantly. There really is something in this.

Hey, could you tell me what you mean by "liberal" keto? :)

Thanks.

I'm not counting anything (carbs, calories, fat or protein). I've cut out sugars, grains, seed oils, potatoes and I'm careful with my vegetable choices. When I've checked, I'd estimate I'm having about 50g of carbs per day on average. I'm not loading up on fats because I am losing weight so need my body to consume its own fat stores. It does seem to be working.
