I used carbmanager for awhile but just use MyFitnessPal now

Seconding Cronometer. It's much easier to add recipes and also gives you your micronutrient breakdown.

Not everything needs an app :)

I'm not a Luddite (technology is my day job) but 95% of the software out there today is designed simply to make money for the vendor, not to make your life easier.

Have a look at dietdoctor.com and memorize the lists of 'carby' ingredients from the visual guides. That's really all you need to know. There is absolutely no value in having a computer count stuff for you except (possibly) for the first couple of weeks when you're trying to stay "keto".
