My son and family which includes 2 grandkids, left on Saturday after a week's visit. I cooked (and baked!!) to get the meals in the freezer, I baked a yummy cake and made a couple of puds. I was determined not to fall off the wagon (apart from going to the ice cream shop/café where the ice creams are made on the premises - rude not to!) Three visits later - my favourite ice cream is no longer coffee but sea buckthorn!! - along with a small portion of a very nice forced rhubarb clafoutis with clotted cream of course and a couple of slices of cake, I was horrified to get on the scales on Sunday morning to see that I was back up to 10st. 9. Eeeek! I had put on half a stone and boy could I feel it around the middle. But after 2 good low carb days, I am back down to 10st. 2.5. In the past, when I have put half a stone on after a holiday, Christmas etc., it would take me about 6 weeks to lose that weight. I can't believe how quickly it has dropped off, although I know lots of that would be retained water. So, hoping to break the 10st barrier in the next few weeks. Hope you are all doing well xx

I’m glad you enjoyed the goodies, and time with your family. Yes sea buckthorn is a surprisingly tasty treat 😊 I’ve been brought sweets made from them as a gift. How great the weight drops again so quickly, good luck with the week ahead. Cheers, Sarah
