I almost 8 months into my low carb lifestyle and in the main I’ve been pretty pleased. But I’ve been going up and down with the same few lbs since August. I started at 202 and have been on the 170s for a couple of months. I saw a peek at 171 about three weeks ago but this morning 176!
I suspect that I haven’t really adjusted my macros since losing the weight and I may be having too much fat (and I haven’t been tracking calories).
As I still am about 20lbs off my goal/target I was perhaps wondering if anyone could give me some advice on how to work out my macros.
I have just rejoined Mfp to start tracking and signed up to a free one month trial of their upgrade. If I can get my macros worked out then I may get some good results from using this as I think I need to adjust my meals.
Example of food: (always lunch and dinner only)
Lunch: pork chop, cabbage, leek fried in butter
Dinner: lamb chops, a little mint sauce and fries courgette and aubergine
Or
Lunch: 2x meat sausage and cabbage and leek buttered
Bacon, fried eggs, 5x cherry tomatoes, fried in olive oil tablespoon no added sugar Heinz ketchup
I’ve also been adding in a glass or two of wine, so I know that needs to go.
Apologies for the long post. I was feeling really good doing lchf but very worried now that I’m going up!
Extra info- female, 43.
Thanks all!!!

I think you have to look beyond weight loss, Leefit419. LCHF is a lifestyle, not a diet and you need to relax and trust your body to do the right things.
Your meals look absolutely fine to me and I don't think counting macros is going to make any difference.
Ask yourself this. "Am I eating because I'm hungry, or am I eating because it's lunch/dinner time?"
"Do I feel fit and healthy?"
"Am I doing any exercise, especially weigh training?"
"Would it really matter if it took two years to lose that 20lbs?"
Yes, I’m not on a hurry but I’d like the scales to be going down rather than up 😀.
I do feel better for cutting out the rubbish and I honestly don’t miss it.
I’m glad my meals look ok.
(I should add that the sausages are Sainsbury’s meaty pork ones which are only 1.2g carb for two!)
I guess with the Marcos I wanted to track and see whether they are. Already my fitness has advised me I’m over my fat goal and I’ve only entered lunch!
You have a point about exercise, I’m a fair weather exerciser unfortunately and so I haven’t been doing much last few months at all. I was doing couch to 5k but that’s stalled.
Moreless knows the score... I’m in a very similar position but instead of counting macros etc I think it’s an opportunity to really focus on your hunger/satiety signals. Instead of worrying about a number on the scale... ( I know it matters in some ways, ) but listening to your body’s needs might the way to go. I’m saying this because I need to do the same...! You’re in it for the long haul ? Good luck👍
