Well for a few weeks I cut down on carbs and no white foods , even had a few fasting days and ate salads ...did the scales move yes but the wrong way .... weight on not off ....type 2 diabetic and underactive thyroid doesn't help .Very frustrating when everything I try nothing is moving the scale the correct way .

The first thing you need to consider is that it took you a very long time to break your metabolism, and it will not be fixed in a few weeks, so you need to hang in there.

Secondly, you really need to establish in your head that LCHF WORKS and if you have put on weight, you need to find out why. Try a food diary as a start.

It's important to do it accurately to start with - a pain in the bum but weigh everything and write down the macros (fat carbs protein) and Include literally everything you eat and drink! It's worth it and you wont have to do it for long - it's the only way to be be able to review how things are going. :)

I agree. If you've spent a lifetime eating an unhealthy diet, it'll take some time for your body to adapt to a better one. Let us know (in excruciating detail!) exactly what you're eating over the course of a few days, and we might be able to offer some pointers.

It happens more slowly for some people than others, but as MikePollard said it DOES work very reliably when you get it right.
