My daughter recently got diagnosed with JIA, chronic pain disorder and hypermobility syndrome, she is on 15mg of methotrexate every week and I read that healing would be slower while on methotrexate, I was woundering if this was true as I promised her she could get her tongue pierced for her birthday but don't know if it's safe ?

Hello, I do not know about whether healing is slower but methotrexate is an immune suppressant so potentially any infections could take longer for the body to deal with which is why children on methotrexate are not always allowed live vaccines
