Having had ITP for over 6 years, I am now being referred to an immunologist for possible CVID (low immunoglobulins). Anyone else? I've spent ages google searching to find at what levels they would want to treat but can't really find anything. Anyone have any experience?

Hi CamdenGirl. Not heard of this ebfore, but as ITP is often the result of a virus affecting the immune system, this could be a logical step forward. ONly advice I can give is to make a list of questions before you attend and ask them all. Do not be put off if you do not understand the answer - ask again and ask for it to be explained in understandable terms not medical. Keep on asking until you do understand and keep a record of what is said. Of course others may know otherwise on this site.

Good luck and keep us all posted.
