I have Polyps and I have been Hemorging since March 2nd 2023. I need Antibiotics to stop the bleeding, doctors here don't want to give me the Antibiotics to stop the bleeding. I am tired of having to go to the bathroom and have pools of blood in the toilet, it is so bad that when I go to set down on the toilet it squirts out all over the toilet and the floor.

If any one can help me with getting at least 500mg of Antibiotics at least 10 of them would help.

I am so sorry for your situation. I was given antibiotics for a bad cough and runny nose and ended up in the hospital with a platelet count of 3.

my daughter takes transanemic acid for heavy periods. Have your doctors mentioned this?

Hi I don’t know why you think antibiotics will stop your bleeding? They won’t theyre for bacterial infections they won’t stop heavy bleeding. As someone has commented Tranesamic Acid will help stop the heavy bleeding I’ve had it for heavy periods. It does work. There’s steroids but unless your platelets are low it’s unlikely you’ll be given them. Your doctors won’t give you antibiotics because they won’t stop your bleeding they know what’s best.

I agree with swheels, in that antibiotics will not do what you want. Tranexamic acid could stop the bleeding, but do *not* use it if you have blood in your urine (as then it can cause problems with your kidneys).

I had a persistent cough and runny nose for 8 months after getting Covid and my doctor put me on antibiotics and by the time I finished the prescription my platelet count dropped to 7,000 and I was hospitalized. Antibiotics can cause platelets to drop which I didn’t know at the time.

Antibiotics wouldn’t have caused your platelets to go down, Covid causes your platelets to go down. Ibuprofen can reduce platelets. The covid vaccine also can cause a drop in platelets my platelets seem to be stabilising after having covid two possibly three times and five vaccines. I take penicillin every day as I had a splenectomy, which is an antibiotic it doesn’t affect my platelet count.

If you are bleeding from your rectum, please go to your doctor for advice. It could be something nasty that needs urgent attention.
