Has anyone achieved remission on IVIG.? Also can I expect to feel better after these infusions?

Hi I had to have 3 rounds of 5 treatments each of IVIG until my platelets stabilized above 140,000. I also started taking Promacta. The last 5 weeks without any IVIG my platelets have been 250 to 340000. I have been slowly weened off of Promacta starting at 50 mg a day to 25 mg every other day and finally off completely. My first blood test after being off promacta for 3 days show platelets remained close to 300 I have another blood test tomorrow which will be 1 week off promacta which will tell me if I am in remission. If not, I will have to go back on promacta. But to answer you question either I went into remission with IVIG or with the help of Promacta. You may want to ask you doctor about starting Promacta. My plates for a month were below 10. With the help of IVIG they would go back up to over 100 but then in a few day go back down to below 10 so I had to repeat IVIG 3 x and start Promacta.
