My son needs exemption from covid vaccine as his count is dangerously low.
It is usually below 10 n now ot is 3.
The haematologist doesn't recommend as it can be risky
The school won't allow him to attend and the ministry isn't known to give exemption easily. Sadly the available research on side effects on itp people is not enough.
I need to know if such people are being exempted in your country or not.
I couldn't find any data even on WHO website about possible exemption. Please share any info u have..ur input will help me plead my son's case better.

i had suppose to get my vaccine 2 days ago and i couldn't get it either as my platlets went down to 1 and it was very dangerous i know how your son feels
Better wait for ur count to improve. One haematologist suggested transfusion and then the jab
The senior consultant said the transfusion stays for a short time in the body but the vaccine takes 2 weeks to show effects so it is still dangerous. Till more research is done
I received Pfizer vaccine on advise from Mayo hematologist . My platelets went up to 88k from 62k for first time in 27 years. I am O+ bloodtype. I had little to no side effects. I did however 4 months later suffer with walking pneumonia (negative covid). I really worry about NOT getting vaccine. I was sicker than ive ever been EVER. I truly believe testing has not caught up with strains. If not for vaccine i believe i would have passed and not counted as a covid victim.
