Anyone has used this new med?? My dr wants me to try if as the first med alternative after a year in prednisone. I am somewhat scared . It is so new.

I am on this - have been on the trial for past 3 years. It’s the only treatment thst has worked and platelets now always in the 100’s. I get gastric side effects but manage it now well.

What kind of side effects. I work in a high paced office and I am afraid of having diarrhea all the time. What has been your experience??

The upset tummy at the start was not great but I now know how to manage it and what foods make it worse (cheese and dairy is not great for me). I eat a very clean diet know and do not eat big portions as this does not help. You get side effects with any drug and I am now 3 years in and not in and out of hospital trying different drugs so am happy and hopefully will continue to take it forever!

Good luck and my only advice is give it a good go, it took a while for it to start working for me and the gastric side effects were not great at first but you do get use to it and if your platelets do start rising and holding then it does get better, just be careful what you eat and try and be as healthy as you can - my life is now totally back to normal and just take a pill morning and night.

Hello, do you still take Tavalisse to keep your plate level? how much it cost? Very thankful for your reply.
