I was 125 in my last blood test and am awaiting another in ten days. I'm not sure how
to compare my numbers with those on this site which seem mainly to be from United States.

Answer..
Goggle to Labtestsonline.
There is a UK version and a USA version and you can then see the differences.

Hi Egghen, I understand that for US numbers x 1000. Your UK 125 becomes 125,000 US report. I'm in the UK and last test was 139 (US 139,000).

I'm a Brit in Belgium, and I just stick a k on my results for the actual platelet level. If, as usual, my platelet count is between 19 and 38, then that translates to between 19k (k=1000), and 38k.
In Canada platelets are reduced to numbers without the additional 000; i.e. 125 is really 125,000 or 125k.
I hope this helps; I'm not really clear about the question.
