Do anybody else get pains in their joints and muscles of your legs when ye get fatigue and platelets are low?

Do any of ye guys think that a lack of sleep might have caused this illness along with stress?

I would like to know what your views are on this!!

No worries Topography52.. It is funny how people react in different ways. My ankles and feet begin to ache, then I notice the bruising after that, if I lean against anything with a edge on it, I will bruise. I know I'm about to start a cycle of feeling crap, tired, weak and pain for the next few weeks.. I bet been up and down now(mostly down) the last 6 weeks, I normally get more sick in the summer months!! I do think in the cold winter months in Ireland the harsh cold days kill off all of the nasty bugs in the air which help me from being sick. Can anybody else relate to this?

I get pain in my joints all the time now, used to be just winter, but not necessarily when platelets are low as its all the time now. I got better when I gave up work but I notice now I'm looking after a grandchild it is getting bad again. We probably need to rest more. Going through a rough time at the moment as I have hurt my foot (on a Health Walk!) and it is impacting on my other leg and hips, which will stop me walking much on holiday in 2 weeks.

I hope you will be ok before your holidays Morgan.. I'm on holidays in France myself at the moment.. I'm so tired and I have really bad pains today. I had my bloods done just before I left which I got the results yesterday, my platelets had dropped down more than I had expected, the lowest they have ever been

No it was all computer based but working for 9 different council departments was stressful, and even though occupation health told them i needed more time to work because of the ITP they heaped on more work, so I quit and never regretted it (that was 2 yrs before retirement age, luckily we managed on my husband's wage)

I'm glad you but yourself before work.. Fair play to you for doing that.. Stressful jobs are no no for the likes of us.. Hopefully I will find something else that I won't be stressed everyday.. Unfortunately for me I am not anyway near retirement yet, it's along time away as I'm only 38. I hope you are feeling good
