platelets 60

Hi

My platelets keep lowering with no known reason i was at 84 but now im at 60 is this anything to worry about ?

Mine are now at 36 never been higher than 60 it can vary each time my bloods get taken on a weekly basis just getting monited I don't worry about it no longer its scary at first the diagnosis but this site is a great source of information.

I have been on revolate for approx. one year; and my counts has been in the 100; 70; 60 and now 40 range and my hemo told me i was in a safe count and said to call and set up another appt. later and mentioned cutting back on promacta .. he said as long as they are above 30 we are all alright ..... i'd like to personally ween off said promacta gradually but am afraid the counts could drop to their low of 13 again .... best wishes for all ... and remember no signs and symptoms then nothing to worry about ... meaning no bleeding; bruising; or other ailments ...

Mine have dropped from between 60-80 when first diagnosed in 1995 to between 19-45 now. Nobody can tell me why either.

When I was at my family doctor for a routine physical he noticed that over time my platlets kept dropping. At that particular visit they were at 80. It was at that point he wanted me to go see a hematologist. I think you should take precautionary measures and do so also.

Mine are usually between 6-30, mine are now at 70 and my doctor is very happy
