Has anyone had any experiences with Pomengranate juice either raising or lowering your platlet count. Some on line sites say it helps and others say it doesn't.

Pomengranate Juice
Pomengranat juice is a healthy drink but has no effect on your platelets. Go to Mayo Clinic website for info. Kyriak51
There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that it will raise the platelet count. Taking pomegranate juice as part of a healthy and balanced diet will obviously help our all round health but there is certainly no evidence to suggest that it is some kind of miracle cure or that it increases the platelet count
I give my daughter pomegranate juice daily still her platelets count is 11 k. But Hb is good all the time . So no harm .
I have just started eating pomengranate seeds so I will see for myself if it does anything on my next bllod test. I am also putting Aleo Vera juice in my other drinks along with taking Milkwhistle so I hope my platelets go up a bit. The Aleo Vera plant helps with a lot of things so maybe this too. Keep me posted if your platelets go up please and I will let you know if mine go up or down.
My platlets over the past couple months decreased from around 70 to 36. My hematologist said if I went lower I would start on a steroid. I started taking 1000 mg vitamin C daily along with beet root tablets and pomegranate juice. Other replies have said pomengranate does not work. Anyway I am getting tested weekly and I have gone from 36 to 40 to 48 to 50. Also eliminated all alcoholic beverages. Tried papaya tablets but did not agree with me. Read it can irritate your throat and it did. Intend to drop the pomengrate juice and try aloe Vera tablets and folic acid shortly. Thank you for your reply.
Update: My weekly numbers have gone from a low of 36,000 mid February to 40, 48, 55, and 63. My hematologist said I can now do blood tests every two weeks. I still drink pomegranate juice along with papaya juice. I also take a Vitamin B-12 tablet every other day and an iron tablet every other day. Also, totally eliminated all alcoholic beverages - hard to do as I have been into wine my entire life and now feel that was the root of the problem. I am 69 years old and retired and spent by business career in the alcoholic beverage industry in the United States.
I really like pomegranates and here in my country there are two types of pomegranates, 1. Sour (red seads) and 2. Sweet (white seads). I read somewhere that it helps to boost platelets or red blood cells so I tried to eat 1-2 sour pomegranates (red seads) daily but after a week it reacted me and my platelets go down to 10. So i stopped to eat that. After that one ov my friend suggested me to try sweet pomegranates but i didn't because I am scared but still yet my heart says at least do try for sweet pomegranate. So if someone try please update his/her experience about sweet one. Thank you in advance. Also I tried papaya leaf extract as well but it doesn't work too.
I take pomegranate extract and I feel it helps for overall health benefits; for me nothing raises my platelets -my count stays about at 100-110
As you seems inclined to try alternative methods , would like to share few very popular methods in our country
1.Fresh juice of Pomegranate +beetroot + carrot + aloevera works well in some cases of ITP
2. Have Aloe vera empty stomach every morning . It too works well in few cases of ITP.
3. Giloy plant is known for its platelet boosting charactetistic. It shows effect in 2 days .
Best wishes
