Is it normal to have decrease platelet count with steroid tapering

Mine was 90 then 1 lakh then 150 then 136 and now with alternate days 5mg does its 107..

Does the count fall then maintains stable count in future..What are chance that can see a rise.

Short answer is, nobody knows. Trial and error to see what happens. You can however live a normal life on a low count providing you do not bleed so do not get hung up on the number. See how you are and your quality of life is, you do not want to be on steroids for too long. If you do need medication, there are plenty of other drugs to try which may suit you better.

Sadly it is trial and error I'm afraid. What works for one ITP sufferer may not work for another so it is a matter of trying the various options and deciding which one works best for you as an individual.
