Hi farideh been on romoplostim since August last year and this month the best I've had hoping I've found the right dose my consultant won't give me the go ahead to fly till have steady balance so I sympathise as most people with ITP we have to keep going I went on a flight last year while taking eltrombo had a count about 58 came home from Spain and stopped responding to the drug so think you need to let your consultant guide you good luck salmagal
Hi romoplostin saved my sanity. nothing else worked within 4 weeks i went from 2 to 156. I m now on low dose inject my self once a week may even go to fourtnightly. hang in there its so hard but as soon as you stabilise your forget you have it!!! Good luck keep us updated
I have just started today on this and hope it works for me. Been told will have to go the hospital weekly .
my platelet count is now 9 I am from Australian my hematologist said i could take either romiplostim NPLATE ( weekly injection) or Eltromboag ( tablet daily but must not be taken 4 hours each way of ANY food ) the Professor in Sydney said they both have the same side effects and same resutls I had my spleen out 9 years ago we do not seem to take antibiotics in Australia it seems my doctor said i could fly like 1to 2 hours he said just like sitting in a car if its a short flight. good luck
