I have been out of hospital since 4th April a few weeks ago I felt really dizzy and was really sick. The GP said I had an ear infection and the dizziness was probably vertigo. She said the vertigo would last beyond the ear infection. It's quite random I can go for days when I'm fine then all the sudden I wake up really dizzy and I'm sick. Has anyone else had vertigo after being in ICU?? Is it connected?? How long did the dizziness last as it's hard to know that I may wake up dizzy but I may not.

Vertigo
years of on off dizziness for me. I make sure I’m hydrated, do everything to counter low BP & make sure my diabetes 2 is in check - all contribute.
Dizziness & poor balance is common with us and can be a sign of peripheral neuropathy & side effect of medications
So many possibilities you’ll be spoilt for choice 🤣
Yes. I have lots of longf bouts of dizzyness since coming out if ICU end Feb 2023.
At first I thought it was swimmers ear, this was not the case, what I had was BPPV see link and how to reset it. It’s worked for me each time I’ve had it.But read the link then ask a professional if you can find one to guide you, it’s simple but you have to get the timing and positions correct Let us know if it helped
I've had poor balance my whole life but it was exacerbated after my stay in ICU. It's been nine years since then and I still suffer with poor balance, dizziness and vertigo. My GP prescribed cinnarizine but whether it makes any difference I don't know. I have other health issues that may contribute, neuropathy and cancer treatment. I hope you can find something to help.
