I've had my mom in ICU for the last two months after suffering Aspiration Pneumonia . She suffered a big seizure 3 weeks ago that only lasted a few minutes. Was a bit unresponsive for the next two days and then she started coming back and looked good. She does have a trache and on ventilator so there is no verbal communication. Has been on seizure medication since. But the last 4 days I noticed her body jerking, was still responsive but has been slowly declining responsiveness and jerking getting stronger. She had a CT scan and it showed some "low density". They're talking possible stroke. Anyone experienced anything similar, either yourself or your family member. Im looking for some advice/feedback. Just want to hear some experiences. Would be greatly appreciated.

Tremors/Jerking. Awake but Non-Responsive
I hope you Mum improves soon.
In ICU - I was chronically allergic to ganciclovir - an anti viral used to treat an infection of the eye that could have left me blind ( CMV) - this was not why I was in ICU - I picked up numerous other infections whilst in there.
A couple of years later I was treated with ribavirin - another antiviral - I started to get the same build up of symptoms as the ganciclovir - so I demanded to change to another antiviral..
The symptoms started with an itch that darted all over my body, end of nose to knee, back to small toe etc etc - it felt like a tiny spider crawling all over me. At the time I was immobile but awake. A day later I was then ferociously sick - exorcist style - I had no warning of feeling sick just was sick.
The next day I was trying to talk to my Father and I got stuck on a word - kept repeating the same syllable until I couldn’t speak and then I couldn’t respond in anyway. I could hear the nurse asking me if I was ok and to squeeze her hand if I could hear her. I couldn’t respond. I couldn’t even blink. Apparently I then started convulsing and fitted for a period of time. I don’t remember but I woke to a huge bite in my tongue which was agony for about 2weeks.
I fitted a couple more times.
To this day, I have no idea how I associated that tablet with the fitting but I did and low and behold it was a known side effect.
Maybe it is worth finding out what meds your Mom is on & finding out the side effects.
