I have an interesting dilemma.I'm part of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine trial. 50% of participants get a placebo & 50% get the vaccination.

I can be vaccinated using a product currently available but then have to withdraw from the trial - or remain unvaccinated for the purpose of the trial, thereby placing my life at risk when vaccines are already available.

Hi Grant_za

Truly a difficult dilemma that only you can answer. So a big thank you for going down that route. “Respect”

I wasn’t able to join a trial because of my circumstances.

All I would say is what is the balance between your life and the good that might be done and only you can answer that question and no one has the right to criticise your decision

Good on you

How was you after your vaccine? Only asking as I was so relieved and thankful to have the 1st vaccine last week but my god I was ill 12 hours after for 48 hours. I thought I was back in my early covid stage and was panicking. Very emotional as i could relate to how I was the 1st time when i knew nothing and could not remember the real virus attacking me. Hardly got out of bed, then in the next breath I was me again. Only sharing this experience to make people aware this can be an effect of the vaccine and I was for warned but trust me you will be fine. Bring on the second jab in 12 weeks. Stay safe everyone.

Thanks for the warning and sharing this. Touch wood both my wife and I are ok. It’s nearly 24 hrs since I had it and I thought I had snuffles coming on last night but that has gone away. Last night the target area was very tender but now it’s hardly noticeable. I had the Pfizer vaccine
