On Saturday 16th Jan morning at 11 am - 12 pm we are holding a one-off Relaxation workshop with practioner. This is aimed at former patients AND relatives. Jo will talk about the benefits of body awareness, breathing and relaxation. There will be breathing exercises and gentle movements that will relieve tension and promote good posture. Jo will explain how and why things get tight and ways to relieve that. The session will start sitting and then for the relaxation practice, for those that can, we will move to the floor or if the floor would not be appropriate, we can move to a comfortable chair/sofa/bed so that everyone can participate. The session will focus on breath techniques and 5 key exercises to keep doing. As always, Jo will amend anything to suit your particular capabilities. The session is free to anyone who has been in ICU and their families. Please email if interested 😊 info.icustepschester@gmail.com
